Milwaukee’s concert scene has a lot going on, so we look at the shows coming up to find the ones you’ll look back on and be glad you went. Then we add them to our weekly Milwaukee Concert Picks.
For the first full weekend of June, where else would you want to be but Milwaukee’s fantastic lakefront? And with two events happening less than a mile from each other, you won’t even need to cover that much ground.
Let’s get the music going at Henry Maier Festival Park, where PrideFest continues a more than half-century tradition of LGBTQ+ celebrations in Milwaukee (Michail Takach wrote an eye-opening piece for OnMilwaukee about that a few years back). This year’s party runs from June 4-6 and includes another thoughtful mix of music, comedy, wellness and even a volleyball tournament.
We put the full lineup down the page just a bit, but a few of the names you’ll want to note include Sophie B. Hawkins; comedian Dulcé Sloan; local bands like Killer High Life; and a raft of Wisconsin DJs like Travvy Trav, DJ Shawna and DJ Femme Noir (who’s also one of the grand marshals of this year’s Pride Parade).
Speaking of DJs …
… The 2026 HYFIN Anti-Gala is Friday at the Cooperage! This event has grown a ton in a few short years, always with a focus on Black culture in Milwaukee and beyond through the annual theme, the community awards, the businesses we partner with and the entertainment.
With so much going on, it’s easy to overlook that last part. First and foremost, this is a party. More specifically for Friday night, it’s a 1980s-themed party featuring a stacked lineup of some of Milwaukee’s top DJs spinning actual physical vinyl during their sets. DJ DRiPSweat, Homer Blow, Swadetrackz, DJ Gemini Gilly, DJ Nustylez and Doc B will all add their particular flavor to a celebration where the music won’t stop until the lights go out.
There’s still plenty of time for you to grab a general admission ticket for just $50 or add even more to your evening by scoring a VIP ticket that gets you access to the family-style barbecue catered by Saz’s and a new pair of classic Adidas shelltoes from Clicks.
