What do get when you take 70 local bands and have them perform in three neighborhoods over 3 days? Then take 100% of the proceeds and donate to the art & music programs of three Milwaukee schools? You’ll get the the inaugural Arte Para Todos.
Meaning Art For Everyone, Arte Par Todos started as a response to the defunding of art and music programming in public schools. This year’s festival will benefit high school art programs at Bay View High School, Tamarack Waldorf High School, and Escuela Fratney. All the artists performing in Arte Par Todos is donating their time.
Taking place February 27 through March 1, Arte Para Todos will span 15+ venues in the Bay View, Riverwest, and East Side neighborhoods. 70 local bands from a variety of genres like Jaill, Chris Porterfield, Kiings, GGOOLLD, I’m Not A Pilot, and Klassik will be performing.
Friday, February 27 events will take place in Bay View
Saturday, February 28 events will take place in Harambee and Riverwest
Sunday, March 1 will take place on the East Side with film and music.
