Milwaukee's Light Music signs a record deal

Kansas City indie label The Record Machine recently announced the signing of Milwaukee electronic indie-rock band Light Music. The long awaited debut album "Ocean’s Daughter" is expected to see a summer release this year. The record was recorded and mixed by acclaimed producer and engineer Beau Sorenson (Death Cab for Cutie, Bob Mould.)

Formerly of The Four Hundred, the members of Light Music explore classical and psychedelic-pop influences with a definite footing in rock, swirled in with synthesizers and driving guitars. Last summer we got a taste of the upcoming record at our 414 Music Live session with Light Music and a single to tide us over. Luckily, it appears the signing will also mean more live shows for the group. Kicking off the partnership, Light Music will be performing at The Record Machine curated music festival Ink’s Middle of the Map Fest on April 24th.
