88Nine's Daily Summerfest Picks: Friday, June 26

It's Friday and tonight's a great night for Summerfest. There a few amazing national artists and a plethora of fantastic local acts to check out.

Let's get started with a personal favorite -- Santigold! The last time I saw this genre-bending artist was over five years ago at the House of Blues in Chicago. It was a mind-blowing show. Tonight at 10:15pm on the Miller Lite Oasis, you can catch her Milwaukee debut. It's also reported she will be releasing a new album soon.

Other national acts to catch this evening include Atlas Genius at 8pm on the US Cellular Connection Stage followed by The Kooks at 10pm. You can hear the spiritual sounds of The Blind Boys of Alabama at 10pm on the Johnson Controls World Stage. Their last album was produced by Eau Claire's Justin Vernon. Then, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band brings a little Mardi Gras to the Johnson Controls World Stage at 8pm. Over at the BMO Harris Pavilion you can catch the popular Shakey Graves at 8pm.

On the local front, catch Lex Allen, Evan Christian, GGOOLLDD, Will Phalen, Hayward Williams and Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons on various stages. Check the schedule below!
