As her website states, “The introductions have gone well.”
Natalie Prass “introduced” herself to the music world earlier this year when she released her self-titled debut record. Already, she’s become one of Rolling Stone’s “Ten New Artists You Need To Know” and one of Time Magazine’s “15 Artists To Watch in 2015.” She’s playing Pitchfork this Friday night.
And on July 24, she’ll perform at Radio Milwaukee.
Prass is one of the headliners of Rhythm Lab Microfest, a celebration of the 10 th anniversary of the Rhythm Lab Radio program, which airs 10pm to midnight Fridays on 88Nine Radio Milwaukee.
“Natalie's debut album will definitely be in my top 10 of 2015,” says 88Nine DJ Tarik Moody, co-creator, host and producer of Rhythm Lab Radio. “Her sound is a blend of Dusty Springfield, Minnie Ripperton and Janet Jackson.”
Radio Milwaukee has been playing her song “Bird of Prey” (see video below).
Also in the MicroFest lineup: Taylor McFerrin, Peanut Butter Wolf, an all-star Milwaukee jazz ensemble and more. See the full lineup.
The first 120 ticket holders to arrive at the event get a free poster. See the designs here.
