Milwaukee four-piece Maritime gave the city a love letter earlier this year with their song and video "Milwaukee" and will release its fifth full-length album, Magnetic Bodies/Maps of Bones, on October 16th via Dangerbird Records.
Maritime recently teased out the excellent single "Satellite Love" from the forth-coming album you may have heard on our airwaves. The newest track "Roaming Empire" continues to promise that Magnetic Bodies... may well be their strongest album yet.
On "Roaming Empire," Davey von Bohlen's vocals slapback with reverb, guitars drift but don't stray too far tethered to a steady, danceable beat ending in a satisfying build-up.
For drummer Dan Didier, “There is always one song off of an album that we all agree is our collective favorite. For Human Hearts it was, for whatever reason, 'Peopling of London' and for Magnetic Bodies/Map of Bones it’s, by far, 'Roaming Empire.'”
