I came into the station this morning and stopped by the studio to say hello to Marcus. He told me he had a great jazzy cover of a recent Major Lazer song "Lean On."
He didn't disappoint.
And like he said, all the people who may not like the original will like the cover and possibly vice versa. The cover is a total reworking from Scott Bradlee and his 'Postmodern Jukebox' collective. Previous reworking by Bradlee's crew: "Everybody Wants To Rule The World," "Shiny Happy People," "Careless Whisper" and "All About That Bass," which features an upright bass.
