Local spots go fruit-forward for a month of blackberry exploration

With summer starting to wind down, there's a tiny thought lurking in the back of all of our brains that "indoor season" may be close at hand. Let's do what most responsible adults do in this situation and squash that thought until we actually have to deal with it, and then get out there and make the most of the pleasant days ahead of us.

Just in time for such an endeavor, and in conjunction with National Blackberry Day, 15 different local establishments around southeastern Wisconsin have teamed up with Jack Daniel's Tennesse Blackberry Whiskey on a passport program that runs through Oct. 12. At every location, you'll find something special they whipped up using the fruit-forward spirit — from cocktails to donuts. Here are all the places you can pick up a passport to start the journey:

Whether you hit one spot or all 15, please remember to sip (and tip) reponsibly.
