A Shell in the Sky | Midewigaan Miigis is an immersive exhibition of Anishinaabe art, star knowledge, and living culture curated by Noelia Cruz alongside the artists. Centering the collective wisdom of distinguished elders, artists, cultural teachers, authors, and knowledge keepers, this collaborative exhibition invites visitors to learn from and with the stars through stories that have been tended on these lands since time immemorial.

Join us for the opening Ceremony on Saturday, June 6th at 6pm. The Ceremony will be guided by esteemed elder, author, and star knowledge keeper Bwaananaabekwe Mary Moose and Mishiikenh Abraham Sutherland, followed by a keynote focusing on Star Knowledge and Cultural Teachings and an artist panel led by the curator.
