Bay View Historical Society Landmark Ceremony – Stollenwerk/Correa House

Bay View Historical Society Landmark Ceremony – Stollenwerk/Correa House

Join the Bay View Historical Society in celebrating the Stollenwerk/Correa House as the Society’s 31st Landmark and one of Bay View’s most important immigrant heritage sites. The home was officially designated by the City of Milwaukee in 2025 as the city’s first historically landmarked property connected to a Hispanic family. This June 2026 ceremony will serve as the first major public celebration connected to both the City landmark designation and the Historical Society landmarking. The program will highlight Bay View’s immigrant and multicultural history through the stories of the German-American Stollenwerk family and the Mexican-American Correa family, whose contributions shaped Milwaukee’s civic, artistic, labor, and cultural life for generations. Music and light refreshments will be included.
