CreativeMornings MKE | "CAMINO" with Ike Wynter
CreativeMornings MKE | "CAMINO" with Ike Wynter
Join us on Friday, February 20 as Ike Wynter walks us through his journey as a wood artist, mental health advocate, and entrepreneur.
Ike Wynter is an eco-sustainable wood artist born & raised in Milwaukee, WI. His focus within his craft of wood art & mosaics is that he only uses 100% reclaimed wood from the side of the road & dumpsters, and has never stained or painted a piece of wood in his life. Every color & tone within his pieces is created from the things he finds.
Ike's work was highlighted at the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay, WI when he was commissioned to recreate all 32 NFL team logos to be displayed in the player walkway. As players got drafted in Green Bay — they used Ike’s art to create a new tradition within the NFL world to slap the logo of the team that they were just drafted to.
Although Ike’s work has been featured everywhere from places like The Today Show, Notre Dame and the Milwaukee Bucks — his main focus is actually acting as a vessel to channel following your dreams, being gentle with yourself on your mental health journey and reminding you that you got to wake up today, and that that is a gift!
Ike’s work is featured at a handful of locations around Milwaukee — including The Milwaukee Public Market and Unfinished Legacy clothing. All of his work is made exclusively right here in our city and crafted from things that the community throws out.
Ike takes huge pride within his art, and social media presence to build up the awareness of the city of Milwaukee, and showing people that anyone can come from anywhere and be anything.
