Stories of standing up for yourself and others, never giving up on a goal, making tough decisions, advocating for change, and staying true to your heart

Ex Fabula StorySlams are live events where community members connect and share true, personal stories related to the night’s theme, told without props or notes.

Ways to participate in this event:

- Come just to listen!

- Write an UltraShort. These are “ultra-short” stories on the night’s theme that will be read onstage by the emcee. You can include your name or be anonymous.

- Volunteer – and get free entrance plus a stipend!

- Sign up to share a true story related to the theme of “Standing On Business” – and get a free entrance plus stipend!

At the end of the StorySlam, the audience votes by ballot to choose an Audience Favorite and our secret judges will select a Judges’ Favorite! Both will win larger cash prizes.

Reminder: the Youth Area tent is for folks ages 25 and younger. If someone older than 25 wants to come in, they will need to be with a young person in order to enter.
