On HBCU Night, the Milwaukee Bucks take on the Charlotte Hornets at the Fiserv Forum in the Deer District Tuesday, January 31st at 7 p.m.
A special ticket package offer is available for the HBCU Night game. It includes a ticket to the game, an HBCU t-shirt and access to a pregame HBCU networking event at GATHER in the Deer District.
The pregame networking event will feature several guest speakers and HBCU alumni from the Bucks, Johnson Controls, Marquette University and United Way Diversity Leadership Society. It will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. before the game.

The Milwaukee Bucks take on the Miami Heat at the Fiserv Forum in the Deer District on Saturday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. The Bucks will celebrate Black History Month at their Saturday home game, and the first 14,000 fans will receive a free cap inspired by Jrue Holiday.
(For everyone) Come on out for some winter fun at our annual Winterfest at the Urban Ecology Center in Washington Park. Enjoy sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating, food, Camp Town S’mores, face painting, and much more!

The Milwaukee Comic Con is finally back this Sept. 24th! Bringing hundreds of artists, guests, writers, and vendors for a day of geeky fun, plus cosplay contests and give aways! This is one of the biggest and best comic conventions in the mid-West, and it all takes place at the Wisconsin State Fairgrounds this Sept. 24th from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at MightyConShows.com, and don't forget that kids 12 and under are FREE!

Interested in being an artist at the Midsummer Festival of the Arts?
Applications are now being accepted–from December 15, 2022, through March 1, 2023. Acceptance notifications will be sent to artists April 4, 2023.Artists must apply through ZAPPlication (https://www.zapplication.org/event-info.php?ID=10971)
This year’s festival will be July 15-16. The event will feature up to 100 juried artists including returning award winners from last year. The Arts Center will also host an emerging artist area for up to five artists, offering an opportunity for collegiate and rising artists to learn about business in the arts. In response to the exhibition on view during the festival, Cloth as Land: Hmong Indigeneity, and in celebration of the Sheboygan Hmong Summer Festival happening the same weekend, an additional minimum of five artists of Hmong heritage will be selected to be featured inside the Arts Center. The Arts Center may also designate additional spaces for local and community partnerships coordinated and selected by Arts Center staff.

For the sixth year, hardy northerners will cure their cabin fever at the Urban Candlelight Hike in Three Bridges Park. Grab your stocking cap and crew, and we'll see you outside! The Hank Aaron State Trail will be lit with hundreds of candles, campfires, and camaraderie right in the heart of Milwaukee. This event takes place with or without snow. The Trails are free to hike, or gran a Fun Pass for all the extra goodies and to support the two nonprofits hosting this event, the Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail and Urban Ecology Center.
