Life-Saving Safety Segment

Life-Saving Safety Segment

ANY DATE/ TIME WORKS (FLEXIBLE)
Hi there,

I hope you are doing well! I’m reaching out because I’d love to collaborate with your team to provide a short, engaging safety segment or interview for your listeners—especially as we head into the summer season. My goal is to share practical, potentially life-saving information in a way that’s easy to understand, remember, and act on—even without visuals.

I’m Jenna, and I am 17 years old. I am currently the owner of Train With Jenna. I teach CPR, First Aid, AED, lifeguarding, junior lifeguarding, and youth safety programs all across Wisconsin. I hold over 18 certifications that qualify me to teach, lead, and instruct these programs. Through my experience training both kids and adults—and working hands-on in aquatic and emergency settings—I consistently see the same mistakes and missed warning signs that can make a big difference in emergency situations. I’m not reaching out to promote my business, but to share practical, life-saving skills your audience can remember, apply, and possibly save a life.

Here are a few segment ideas that work well:
•"Pick a Color, Save a Life” – Tips on which swimsuit colors are easiest to spot in water and why visibility matters, described in a fun, engaging way.
•"Inside the Lifeguard’s Brain” – Explain how lifeguards scan water, what catches attention, and subtle warning signs listeners may not know about.
•"Summer Safety Secrets & Myth Busting” – Practical tips and common misconceptions about pool, lake, and beach safety that every listener should know.
•"Which Life Jackets and Pool Toys Are Actually Safe?” – Describe safety standards and how to choose the right equipment for adults and kids.
•CPR & First Aid Tips – Quick, actionable guidance listeners can remember, like how to respond to choking, fainting, or minor injuries.

I’m comfortable doing a sit-down interview, call-in segment, or interactive discussion with hosts. I keep the conversation fast, clear, and engaging, making safety feel practical, memorable, and approachable.

If you’re ever looking for a meaningful segment—especially on a lighter news day—I’d love to provide content your listeners can use to stay safe this summer.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration,

Jenna Bertrang
