Scythian began as a street‑performing band in Alexandria, Virginia, and evolved into a hybrid of Celtic jigs, Eastern‑European melodies and Americana rock. Named after the ancient nomads, their sound spans violin, accordion, guitar and drums in a way that doesn’t fit neatly into genre boxes. You’ll hear traditional‑inspired reels, driving rhythms and songs that invite both listening and moving.

This show at The Argo offers a chance to catch Scythian in a setting built for the textures of their music — close enough to feel the fiddle, yet spacious enough for the groove.

Stanley & Quiggle are an immersive folk duo from Big Rapids, Michigan, composed of Owen Stanley and Jameson Quiggle. They began performing together in their late high school years and have since developed a unique folk sound rooted in acoustic instrumentation, close vocal harmonies, and storytelling songwriting.

Their music draws from both traditional folk influences and contemporary styles, reminiscent of acts like Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, and The Milk Carton Kids. Their debut full-length album In All of This was released in early 2025 and features original compositions that highlight the duo’s range and emotional depth.
