Special Needs Resource Fair
Special Needs Resource Fair
On May 7, 2024, a Special Needs Resource Fair is being held at Fox River Middle School from 4:30-6:30pm. Over 60+ agencies are attending to share information about their organizatiosn and what they do to support students and families.
Some of the agencies who are attending are specific to Racine County, but other agencies work with all families in Southeastern Wisconsin, or state-wide. The agencies registered cover all aspects of a child's emotional, physical, cognitive, vocational, and social development - everything from mental health counseling to respite and recreation activities to private speech/occupational/physical therapy to vocational planning to financial planning to higher education.
In addition to the 60+ agencies sharing their information, we will have free food (hot dog, water, dessert, chips) from donations from Kwik Trip and Costco (while supplies last) and free popcorn from Rojo's Wholesale Popcorn (while supplies last). There will be emergency vehicles outside for families to look at, a K9 unit for families to see/talk to the handler, and a therapy horse outside for kids to pet (weather dependent). There is also the opportunity for families to try to win one of about 15 door prizes.
Visit this site to view our Special Needs Resource Fair webpage, which has links to agencies who attended our event over the past few years. We will also continue to add updated details about the resource fair to this webpage.
