Kenny Chesney joins AmFam Field’s concert lineup

Milwaukee Brewers

Less than a week after announcing a killer rock booking top-lined by Green Day and The Smashing Pumpkins, American Family Field bolstered its 2024 country offerings with the news that Kenny Chensey will play the stadium June 22.

The home of the Milwaukee Brewers had the genre covered for the early part of next season thanks to Luke Combs’ “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour” stopping by for a two-night stint, April 12-13. Chesney’s show will occur closer to the warm-weather conditions he’s tied his music to, with the “Sun Goes Down 2024 Tour” marking his sixth appearance at the Brewers’ home field.

He’s not coming alone, either. The bill will also include Uncle Kracker, who teamed up with Chesney on the No. 1 single that inspired the name of the tour, as well as Zac Brown Band and up-and-comer Megan Moroney.

“I wanted a name that suggested — obviously — when all the good stuff starts to happen,” Chesney said about the tour name in a release. “The one thing I’ve learned about No Shoes Nation and these stadium shows is they start the good times early and they just keep it going.

“But we all know, when the sun goes down, that’s when people really get loose and enjoy themselves. So, I can’t wait to get back out there, stadium-sized ’cause there’s nothing like 60,000 members of No Shoes Nation singing these songs. It’s gonna be awesome.”

The laid-back country star made his first stop at what was then known as Miller Park in 2010 as part of Farm Aid’s 25th anniversary concert. Since then, he’s made visits in 2013, 2016, 2018 and — most recently — 2022 as part of his “Here and Now Tour.” Tickets for the 2024 show will first be available this Friday, Nov. 10, as the initial round of presales get under way. The general sale is at 10 a.m. next Friday, Nov. 17.
