MKE Concert Picks: The layers of fun to be had at Flannel Fest

Boone & Crockett

Milwaukee’s concert scene has a lot going on, so we look at the shows coming up to find the ones you’ll look back on and be glad you went. Then we add them to our weekly Milwaukee Concert Picks.

If God forbid you fell into a coma and weren’t sure what time of year it was when you woke up, Milwaukee’s festivals have you covered. Summerfest / Summer Soulstice? Duh. Mitten Fest? Bundle up. Then there’s the one that sits squarely between: Flannel Fest, which will smoothly transition us into autumn this Saturday from 2-11 p.m.

(It seems we have a gap in the springtime. Someone get on that.)

Returning to the shared space between Boone & Crockett and The Cooperage, the annual festival will enjoy seasonally pleasant temperatures for its 2025 edition, with the nighttime conditions definitely calling for flannel or some other additional layer. Those preparations will mean you can enjoy the full lineup for this year’s Flannel Fest, which will roll out as follows:

  • School of Rock
  • Mark Waldoch
  • Joe Wray
  • Joe Crockett
  • Decoteau Black
  • Caley Conway
  • De La Buena
  • Wave (Chapelle) X Nile(xNile) & Friends

Then, to cap the night, it’s the reunion/final performance of Platinum Boys, who honed their reuniting skills just last week in Studio A with Carolann for a memorable DJ Takeover.

While the kids might not be able to make it all the way to the headliner, Flannel Fest is a family-friendly event that’ll include a performance from the Division BMX Stunt Team, a petting zoo, food served from both trucks and tables, local vendors and more. No ticket required for this one, but if you feel RSVP’ing for free and getting a little more info, visit the Flannel Fest event page.
