With only a couple headliner announcements under our belts for Summerfest 2026, next year’s festival already has a distinctly British flavor — the latest courtesy of former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson, who will play the BMO Pavilion on June 26.
The show on the second Friday of Summerfest is part of Tomlinson’s previously revealed “HOW DID WE GET HERE?” world tour, the North American leg of which gets rolling June 3 in Vancouver. That trip around the continent will be in support of the new album Tomlinson announced a few weeks ago, How Did I Get Here? The record is his third studio effort and is set for release Jan. 23.
As is customary at the BMO Pavilion, fans have the option to chance it in the hopes of grabbing a seat for free. But for those looking for a guaranteed spot, tickets for Tomlinson’s Summerfest performance June 26 will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. this Friday online via Ticketmaster or in person at the Summerfest box office. Those reserved seats will include admission to the festival on the day of the show.
Louis Tomlinson artist bio
Following a wildly successful run as a member of One Direction, Louis Tomlinston formally introduced himself as a solo artist with Walls, the 2020 album that moved over 1.2 million copies worldwide and reeled in nearly 1 billion total streams.
Two years later, he put out Faith in the Future, which hit No.1 in the U.K., Spain, Argentina and Belgium. It also cracked the top five of the Billboard 200, capturing No. 2 on the Top Album Sales Chart, Top Current Album Sales Chart, Top Independent Albums Chart and Top Vinyl Albums Chart.
Tomlinson has shined on collaborations such as the Platinum-certified “Back To You” (feat. Bebe Rexha & Digital Farm Animals) and Gold-certified “Just Hold On” with Steve Aoki. Beyond his musical success, he continued being a significant presence in the general pop-culture space, making an appearance on Family Guy and competing for the English squad in Soccer Aid. Along the way, he launched The Away From Home Festival (now in its fifth year), which he still curates and headlines.
