Post Animal will wrap up their fall tour with a show at the Argo

The Argo

A little more than a year ago, Post Animal shared new album Iron, a project that seemed to come together by accident. This week, they very intentionally announced touring plans that will take them around the United States this fall, finishing with a Nov. 15 date at the Argo in Milwaukee.

When their latest project got released last July, the band shared a few choice details about original member Joe Keery stopping by a show, leading to them making studio plans — but not with the intention of actually recording anything. Instead, it was a zero-expectations scenario involving a bunch of friends playing music together again.

Obviously, that went pretty well. Post Animal’s first album with Kerry since 2018 was well-reviewed, with Paste Magazine’s Camryn Teder noting that the project carried “a sense of effortless musical kinship and camaraderie.”

They got the chance to bring that music to the stage when Post Animal toured with Keery’s Djo solo project last year. And while it sounds like the Stranger Things star won’t be along for the ride this fall, it’ll be awesome to hear Iron live in Milwaukee as the band make their first visit to the city since 2022.

Tickets for Post Animal’s Nov. 15 show at the Argo go on sale to the general public this Friday, Aug. 14, online via Eventbrite.

Artist bio

Fresh off a breakout year that included 51 sold-out arena and theater shows supporting Djo, a packed Lollapalooza set, and a nearly sold-out U.S. headline tour, Post Animal has re-emerged as one of indie rock's most exciting live bands.

Their latest album, Iron, marks the first time the band's complete original songwriting lineup reunited in the studio in nearly a decade. Written and recorded during an uninterrupted month together, the album captures the chemistry that first defined Post Animal while showcasing a renewed sense of purpose, collaboration, and adventurous songwriting.

Known for their explosive live performances and fearless blend of psych rock, guitar-driven indie, folk, synth-pop and classic rock influences, Post Animal thrives onstage. Every member of the touring band contributes as a songwriter, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, creating a dynamic and unpredictable show that has earned them a devoted and rapidly growing fanbase.
