Thursday, on 414 Live, we were excited to welcome the lush folk harmonies of Greatest Lakes with songs off their sophomore full-length album “Divisions.”
The Shepherd Express got Greatest Lakes right when they said: “At times the band’s sound can conjure up similar harmony-driven bands from The Beach Boys to Band of Horses. Other times a more experimental side comes through.”
Greatest Lakes has pretty much created their own unique genre of Midwesten-coastal-folk that we can’t get enough of.
Making up their sound is Jon Nichols on vocals and percussion, Brian Steinseifer on vocals and guitar, Mike Hawes on bass and vocals, Tim Feret on Drums and Dan Strash on guitar and vocals.
