Milwaukee’s concert scene has a lot going on, so we look at the shows coming up to find the ones you’ll look back on and be glad you went. Then we add them to our weekly Milwaukee Concert Picks.
This Sunday, Feb. 26, legendary venue The Miramar Theatre will play host to a Milwaukee talent and open-mic event series called, The Kee Live, brought to us by Scholar Life. The Kee Live's mission is to bring in young, talented creatives who haven't had the opportunity or space to perform during an open mic.
This concert series is unique because it invites artists of all kinds — poets, singers, comedians, musicians — to the space, delivering a stacked lineup of Milwaukee acts making a positive impact in our scene. If you're interested in getting on stage, be there when doors open at 7 p.m. so you can score one of the available slots. Registration is only available until 7:30 p.m., with the show starting 30 minutes later at 8 p.m.
After the open-mic portion of the show, some of Milwaukee's hottest talent will take the stage for an intense concert showcase. Hot 105.7's Promise will host the event, with music provided by DJ Gee A. This bill is stacked, with appearances by creator and Scholar Life head B. Justice, Sharrod Sloans, Gego Y Nony, Zonk Rolan, Kia Rap Princess, DJ Snack Daddy, Troy Tyler, Sawyer Gibson and more.
