Introducing 88Nine Amplifier

Are you a Milwaukee-based musical artist or band? Are you ready to spend 2021 elevating your craft? We want to help.

88Nine Amplifier — Radio Milwaukee’s new eight-month artist development program — is now accepting applications. Directed by Grammy nominated vocal producer Chad Roper (C-Note) and Milwaukee singer, producer & multi-instrumentalist Britney Freeman-Farr (B~Free), the artist class will receive 1:1 mentorship from legendary producer Butch Vig, Wisconsin native and Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon and prolific sound engineer Marcella Araica (Ms. Lago) throughout 2021.

Working alongside C-Note and B~Free, the mentors will guide artists through an immersive program with each month focused on unique area of the artists’ growth. In addition to eight months of mentorship and learning, program participants will also receive $10,000 grants to be used in consultation with 88Nine Amplifier to further the artist’s careers.
