Milwaukee’s Jazz in the Hood returns for the 5th year. On July 14 from 4 pm to 9 pm, Jazz in the Hood will take place in the Bronzeville Cultural and Entertainment District on 4th St. between North Ave. Garfield Ave.
Besides the live music, Jazz in the Hood will honor African American Bone Marrow Awareness Month with information on how to save lives via marrow and blood donations. This year's lineup includes jazz singer Adekola Adedapo, whose career included teaching jazz to the First-Graders at Metcalfe Elementary in Milwaukee. Other artists performing include Foreign Goods, Evan Christian, and Cigarette Break.
