Lowkey pop, psychedelic surf and roots rock are on the docket for The Back Room @ Colectivo later this summer after three rapid-fire concert announcements:
Monica Martin | 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27
The Chicago-born singer-songwriter grew up in rural Wisconsin and went on to front experimental-folk-pop sextet, PHOX, formed just outside Madison. Martin moved to L.A. in 2017 and recently released the single “ Hard to Explain,” as well as a live performance of her song “Go Easy, Kid” featuring James Blake. Tickets for the upcoming show are on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at the Pabst/Riverside box offices and online.
Fellow Kinsman | 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12
Fellow Kinsman is an alternative/psychedelic-surf rock project formed by multi-instrumentalist Nate Kinsman. Ever-evolving out of Milwaukee, from parking-lot mayhem to the downtown disco, the band joined us in 2019 for a 414Live session you can relive here. Tickets go on sale for the upcoming show at 10 a.m. Friday at the Pabst/Riverside box offices and online.
Cordovas | 8 p.m. Friday, July 15
The latest full-length from Cordovas, “Destiny Hotel” is a collision of folk, country and groove-heavy rock-and-roll that harnesses the energy of their live show while lifting their songwriting to a new level of sophistication. That energy will be on display in just a few short weeks at their Milwaukee show, tickets for which are on sale now at the Pabst/Riverside box offices and online.
