With one of those nice, round-number anniversaries coming up, Harley-Davidson has decided to once again go big with its celebration. And loud.
Foo Fighters and Green Day — two of the most iconic rock bands of the last 30 years — will headline two nights of music July 14 and 15 at Veterans Park featuring a total of 10 artists. Here’s the schedule Harley-Davidson has in place as of this writing:
Friday, July 14
- Green Day
- Social Distortion
- Phantogram
- KennyHoopla
Saturday, July 15
- Foo Fighters
- Cody Jinks
- Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
- White Reaper
Tickets covering those two days went on sale this morning. You can see the variety of options available via the company’s online ticketing window.
In a release, Harley-Davidson Chairman, President and CEO Jochen Zeitz said: “We can’t wait to host riders from all over the world in Milwaukee, as we come together as one Harley-Davidson family and welcome everyone to join us. With music at the heart of our festival, I can’t think of two more iconic American rock icons to join our community in celebrating 120 years of Harley-Davidson."
Veterans Park will serve as the epicenter of the celebration, with moto-fueled activities for all ages, and food and drink from Milwaukee-area restaurants. But the party, officially dubbed the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival, starts July 13 and goes until July 16, with events taking place across southeastern Wisconsin:
- The Harley-Davidson Museum will host free concerts and skills demonstrations, as well as offer food and drink options.
- Harley-Davidson Powertrain Operations in Menomonee Falls will have product displays, demo rides and guided factory tours.
- Local dealerships will also have their own entertainment offerings.
