Rivers Cuomo and his pals in Weezer don’t seem to mind sharing the spotlight on tour. Last year, it was Green Day and Fall Out Boy. This summer, they decided to go even bigger with the Indie Rock Roadtrip, which will visit Breese Stevens Field in Madison on June 14.

The tour features Weezer and a rotation of six bands: Spoon, Modest Mouse, Future Islands, Momma, Joyce Manor and White Reaper. The Madison date is part of the first leg of the journey that includes Modest Mouse and Momma, who talked to us back in August ahead of their show at Turner Hall.

There’s also a possibility that a member of Milwaukee’s local music scene will make an appearance. Evan Marsalli, the drummer from Diet Lite, just completed a nearly three-year quest to have Cuomo duet with him (over TikTok) on a guitar lick from “Buddy Holly.” In the process, Weezer’s frontman extended an invite for Marsalli to “play this live on Weezer’s Indie Rock Roadtrip tour this summer.”

While those two work out the details, you can get tickets for the show in Madison a couple different ways via Ticketmaster:

  • Weezer mailing list presale at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 1
  • Live Nation presale at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 2 (code: “CHORUS”)
  • General sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3
