You can’t use words like “incomparable,” “legendary” and “icon” often when describing an artist (not honestly anyway), but Diana Ross is one of the few whose name is forever linked to those lofty adjectives. In just a few weeks, she’ll bring that well-deserved reputation to Milwaukee when she plays the Miller High Life Theatre on Sept. 10 as part of her “Music Legacy Tour.”
This’ll be the first time in quite a few years that Miss Ross has made a stop in Brew City. She opted for a post-Summerfest show at the BMO Pavilion back in July 2017 and before that appeared at the Riverside Theater in August 2013. Like those previous performances, she plans to deliver a career-spanning set that will undoubtedly include a few costume changes as well.
The 79-year-old hasn’t slowed down much in recent years, playing in front of a massive crowd at the 2022 Glastonbury Festival in the middle of a tour that took her to Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, the Hollywood Bowl and Radio City Music Hall.
If you want to catch her in Milwaukee, tickets will cost $65.50-$149.50 when the general online sale gets underway at 10 a.m. next Friday, Aug. 4.
