Santa Fe Klan coming to BMO Pavilion in October

Last June, Santa Fe Klan played the Miller Lite Oasis Stage at Summerfest and packed the space, rewarding the festival for booking a rising global artist. Later this year, “the face of rap in Mexico” will return to the grounds — although he may want to bundle up this time around.

Santa Fe Klan will no doubt fill the BMO Pavilion on Oct. 12, when he brings his “Blanco y Negro” tour to Milwaukee on what’s likely to be a brisk fall evening. The show is a geographic outlier on the tour schedule, which starts July 26 in Salt Lake City and wraps up Nov. 9 in Tulsa.

The road trip is decidedly focused on the West Coast and Texas, with a smattering of dates spread throughout the rest of the United States. As of this writing, Milwaukee is the only Midwest stop, with the next-closest stop happening a few weeks before in Virginia. That should crank up what is already likely to be high demand, unless a Chicago date eventually finds its way into the schedule.

The tour is happening in support of Santa Fe Klan’s upcoming album, also called Blanco y Negro, which is scheduled for release later this year. He’s been busy getting people amped up for the new music, performing at everything from SXSW in Austin to a headline slot at Coachella in April.

There are a series of presales for the Oct. 12 date at BMO Pavilion, starting with an artist version at 10 a.m. this Tuesday, June 11. The general sale kicks off at 10 a.m. Friday. For more information, visit the concert page at Ticketmaster.
