Brewers postgame concerts will welcome Nelly, Shaq to AmFam Field

Milwaukee Brewers

Milwaukee’s local baseball club has done a pretty solid job of putting an entertaining product on the field over the past decade-plus. But that doesn’t mean they can’t add a little more entertainment after the final out.

The Brewers on Monday announced a pair of postgame concerts for the rapidly approaching season: Nelly on Friday, June 27, and DJ Diesel (aka Shaq) on Thursday, Sept. 18. Everyone in the stadium is welcome to stick around after the game for both shows, and there’s also an option to purchase a field pass online.

Artist bios

For 24 years, Nelly has connected generations with his exuberant anthems, fused musical genres and engaged in multiple entertainment media, including music, television and film. The diamond-selling, multi-platinum, three-time Grammy-winning artist, entrepreneur, philanthropist and actor stepped on the scene in 2000 with his distinctive vocals and larger-than-life personality.

Nelly’s music history kicked off with his commercial debut album, Country Grammar, which featured the top 10 title track and hit single "Ride wit Me.” His following album, Nellyville, produced a pair of No. 1 songs, "Hot in Herre" and "Dilemma" (featuring Kelly Rowland), along with the top five single "Air Force Ones."

Shaquille O'Neal is one of the most dominant basketball players in NBA history and in his post-playing career has transitioned to become a larger-than-life entertainer.

The hall-of-famer first discovered electronic dance music after crashing the TomorrowWorld festival in 2014 — a milestone event that changed his life forever after being exposed to DJs such as Steve Aoki and Skrillex. From there, DJ Diesel's career was born as he cemented the title of “the biggest DJ in the world.”

DJ Diesel has graced main stages around the globe, including Lost Lands, Tomorrowland, EDC LV, Lost Lands, Lollapalooza, Electric Zoo, Forbidden Kingdom and Beyond Wonderland. He also launched his own festival series, Shaq's Bass All Stars, while balancing a Las Vegas residency at the WYNN.
