Neko Case is hitting the road for the first time since the January release of her memoir, The Harder I Fight the More I Love You, with a fall run of dates that includes an Oct. 18 stop at Milwaukee’s Pabst Theater.
The venerated singer-songwriter and occasional New Pornographer was last in the city almost three years ago, following the release of 2022 compilation album Wild Creatures. It sounds like she has a new album winding its way toward completion, so there’s a chance we’ll get some fresh music prior to her Milwaukee visit.
Regardless of whether it shows up in time, Case isn’t exactly hurting for material to share on stage. Her solo output alone includes seven studio albums, with the last four climbing into the top five of Billboard’s U.S. indie chart. You can throw another nine records on the pile if you include her contributions to The New Pornographers, two members of which joined her the last time she came to town.
If you’d like to be there for Case’s next visit, tickets to the Oct. 18 show go on sale to the general public starting at 10 a.m. this Friday, April 18, online and at the Pabst/Riverside box offices
