I never thought I would be doing Rhythm Lab Radio, especially not for 10 years.
But this Friday, we celebrated the 10th anniversary for Rhythm Lab Radio with a one-of-a-kind MicroFest. It was an eclectic night of music. We had local performances from Dream Attics, True Skool band & DJ, Kiings and Strehlow. And, an all-star ensemble featuring Klassik, Tim Ricketts, Fred Boswell, Jr. and Terry Harris, Jr.
The night concluded with headliners Taylor McFerrin, Natalie Prass and a special video DJ set from Stones Throw Records founder Peanut Butter Wolf.

To add to the festival environment, we invited four food trucks to take over our parking lot. We also gave away screen printed gig posters featuring the headliners.
One of my favorite highlights was when Milwaukee artists Siren and Da Genius joined Taylor McFerrin on stage for an amazing live collaboration.
The MicroFest might have been over for most that Friday night, but on Saturday it continued for a about 30 young adults from the non-profit True Skool. They took part in workshops featuring McFerrin and Wolf. There was also a workshop on entrepreneurship facilitated Educators Credit Union, the presenting sponsor of MicroFest. It is the one thing that really set this festival apart from other festivals.

We want to thank everyone who came out to the MicroFest. It really meant a lot.
