2015 has sorta seemed light on the new global music scene. Not sure I got any stats to back that up, but that's what it feels like. Nevertheless there have been some new things -- and definitely got a few favorites in this gently mixed mixtape.
Hot tropical electro from Colombia's Bomba Estereo, new "Afropean" pop from DjeuhDjoah & Lieutenant Nicholson and trancey, hard guitar grooves from Niger's Mdou Moctar are definitely highlights.
But there's plenty here from Brazilian and Greek reggae to deep soul sounds from Hungary's Dokkerman & Turkeying Fellaz. The world is big, I got it down to a size that fits. Check in...
