Summerfest’s first headliner reveal for 2023 is a familiar, bearded face

A group of musicians from Zac Brown Band put their hands in the center while one member holds up a boombox prior to going on stage.

It’s 40 degrees. It snowed this morning. If ever we needed something to turn our thoughts away from the icebox-y hell that awaits us the next four to six months, it’s now.

The folks from Milwaukee World Festival Inc. provided that something by announcing the first headliner for Summerfest’s 55th anniversary: Zac Brown Band. It’ll be appearance number seven for Zac’s crew and their particular brand of rockin’ country tunes, which you can hear at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater on June 23 of next year.

As of now, there aren’t any supporting acts listed on the Summerfest website. But with this being the first of more than 800 artists on the schedule, there’s plenty of time to round out that particular evening’s entertainment.

Tickets for the show will go on sale at 10 a.m. next Friday, Oct. 28. In the meantime, listen to Zac Brown Band’s very Halloween-appropriate song below.
