Each Thursday morning on Radio Milwaukee we — the Journal Sentinel’s Piet Levy and 88Nine’s Jordan Lee — talk about the music coming into and the music coming out of Milwaukee on Tap’d In.
On this week’s episode, we’re looking at some new numbers that illustrate just what a huge year Fiserv Forum had. Stream the episode below.
The year is wrapping up and Pollstar recently announced its box office list for 2019. Fiserv Forum was a really big player. It ranked #25 in the nation and #46 in the world. It hosted 33 concerts and comedy events, grossing at least $33.7 million — blowing away what the Bradley Center averaged.
“It really blows away anything we’ve ever seen in this market,” Piet says. So can we keep up this pace? Given the way the concert industry keeps growing, it’s quite possible, and venue already has some big shows lined up for next year. Hear us discuss them below.
