Locust Street Festival 2025: Info on music, the Beer Run and more

Locust Street Festival of Music and Art; Facebook

The 46th annual Locust Street Festival of Music and Art going down this Sunday, June 1, continues the nearly five-decade celebration of what we can do as individuals and — more importantly — as a community.

The event started in 1976 as a party for the neighbors in Riverwest who banded together so the city would hear their voices about its plans to widen Locust Street between Humboldt and Holton. Milwaukee’s decision-makers heard them loud and clear, and the festival has been going strong ever since.

As usual, this year’s installment starts at 11:30 a.m. with the 1.6-mile Beer Run (or walk, if that’s your pace) featuring four beverage stops supplied by Black Husky Brewing and other Riverwest breweries. After the run, the festival swings into gear with art vendors, food trucks, more beer and other beverages, and local businesses peddling their wares all along Locust Street.

Then of course there’s the music that’s spread across four stages starting at noon, with the final act taking the mic at 7 p.m. The full lineup is below, and you can find more information about this year’s Locust Street Festival of Music and Art on the event’s webpage.
