Lakefront Festival of Art

June 13-15

Celebrating its 60th year, the Lakefront Festival of Art offers a full weekend of creativity, music, food and family fun, all right on the shores of Lake Michigan. Kids and families will love the hands-on art projects, artists booths, live music, street chalk art and Kids’ Disco at 10 a.m. Sunday morning.


Free summer fun

There are several outdoor movies showing this weekend, including:

  • Moana 2 at the Deer District (1133 N. Old World 3rd St.) starts at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 12.
  • Inside Out 2 at Veterans Park in Milwaukee (1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr.) starts at dusk Saturday, June 14.
  • Moana 2 at Fireman's Park in Germantown (W162N11870 Park Ave.) starts at 8:30 p.m. this Friday, June 13.
  • Migration at Konkel Park in Greenfield (5151 W. Layton Ave.) starts at 8 p.m. this Saturday, June 14.

Polish Fest (kids get in free)

Polish Fest is one of Milwaukee’s most colorful summer traditions — and it’s a great pick for families looking to experience music, food, and fun with a cultural twist. Kids 15 and under get in FREE with an adult. Highlights include live Polish music and energetic folk dancing, traditional Polish food, cultural exhibits and hands-one workshops, and more.

Greek Fest (free admission for limited hours)
Wisconsin State Fair Park | 640 S. 84th St. | West Allis
June 13-15

Opa! Celebrate 60 years of tradition, culture, and community at Milwaukee’s longest-running Greek festival. Hosted by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, this family-friendly event features authentic Greek food, live music, traditional dancing, carnival rides and games, and fun for all ages.

Play Ball Weekend With Brewers (pre-registration required)
Baran Park | 2600 S. Chase Ave. | Milwaukee
Saturday, June 14 | 9-11 a.m.

Play Ball Weekend is a free kids clinic where Brewers alumni, local high-school baseball athletes and baseball coaches lead special skill-developing activities for children ages 5 to 12. Parents are able to watch in the stands during the sessions, and pre-registration is required (limited spots available).
