Every morning throughout Summerfest 2025, we’ll deliver a guide that covers the day’s entertainment and how you can get in the gate free of charge. This is where you’ll find info about the AmFam Amp headliners, eclectic picks from our knowledgeable staff and the music lineup for the day (see the full 2025 Summerfest lineup here).

Bad Omens, We Came As Romans, Spiritbox, 7:30 p.m.
Bad Omens combine ghostly atmospherics, striking hooks and high-register harmonies, then lift it all up with cinematic production to create an all-encompassing live performance. The quartet has racked up nearly 2 billion streams worldwide, boosted by their third full-length album, The Death of Peace of Mind. Openers We Came As Romans met as teens and quickly built a diehard fandom from the metalcore, post-hardcore and Warped Tour subculture. Their hook-filled music spread across six studio albums carries an uplifting message and connects with even greater urgency live.

Bully @ Miller Lite Oasis, 8:30 p.m.
Where has Alicia Bognanno of Bully been lately? The Nashville artist is undoubtedly churning out future rock songs for label home Sub Pop and still touring on her 2023 album, all while working on shoring up indie-scene cred through sweet collabs with artists like Soccer Mommy, Graham Hunt and Blondshell.
When she’s not being a road dog, Bognanno fosters actual dogs. In my 2023 interview, she talked about losing her beloved canine of 13 years, Mezzi, which provided the emotional center for most recent Bully album Lucky For You.
Little things like that have made me a forever-fan of Bognanno’s, though Bully first captured my heart when I caught their set at the Sh*tty Barn in Spring Green back in 2016. The noisy, fast-tempoed, nervy rock ‘n’ roll yelling-slash-singing really slammed into my ears in the most satisfying way (I’m a sucker for strong vocals in loud music.)
While that initial show experience was miles away, it just so happened to be Fourth of July weekend. What a fitting band for a holiday that centers its festivities around fireworks (and, I guess, drones?). The explosive spirit of the holiday’s bright lights and loud sounds dovetail nicely with Bully’s extroverted catharsis, which will be on full display tonight at the Oasis.

Porter Robinson @ Generac Power Stage, 9:30 p.m.
Porter Robinson has been a pillar of electronic music for a decade, constantly reinventing his sound and himself. His latest album, SMILE! :D (yes, emoji and all), dropped last year and feels like a love letter to scene kids who grew up and got a synth, with the charm of a Warped Tour frontman mixed with 2025-ready production. Nothing says America like fireworks, technology and dancing your feelings out under the stars.

Diet Lite @ Miller Lite Oasis, 1 p.m.
By 1 p.m., most of us have mainlined that first (and second and third) cup of coffee. It’s possible, however, that you'll need a jolt when strolling into the Summerfest grounds this afternoon. Fortunately, this accidental beverage metaphor works perfectly with the injection of energy taking the Miller Lite Oasis stage when the sun is high overhead: Diet Lite.
I saw this trio in concert early in my Radio Milwaukee tenure, and years later they remain my favorite local band to see live. Drummer Evan Marsalli is an exercise video come to life behind the kit, while Max Niemann and Kelson Kuzdas prowl the front of the stage — all of which wouldn’t matter a lick if they didn’t sound excellent. Well, they do. And it’s fun. And loud. If you’re not at Summerfest for fun and loud, you’re at the wrong festival.
