Frank Mots Kite Festival
Veterans Park | 1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr. | Milwaukee
Sept. 6-7 | 10 a.m.-6 p.m. (Saturday); 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (Sunday)

Gift of Wings hosts the Annual Frank Mots International Kite Festival at Milwaukee’s lakefront in Veterans Park. The event features professionally flown giant-sized kites and a grand launch of 600 kites each day at noon.

TosaFest
Downtown Wauwatosa
Sept. 5-6

This annual event features live music on three stages, five beer gardens, a food court, vendor market, unique TosaFest Experiences, Oktoberfest with Draft & Vessel, a Spritzgarden and more! Don’t miss the Kids Zone from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, when the parking lot on Wauwatosa Avenue near Harmonee will be packed with inflatables, face painting, sports and tabletop carnival games, and crafting activity stations.

Sunday Family Fun Day: Performing Arts Showcase
Northwestern Mutual Community Park | 200 N. Harbor Dr. | Milwaukee
Sunday, Sept. 7 | 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Head to Northwestern Mutual Community Park for this year’s final Sunday Family Fun Day! Enjoy hands-on activities, live entertainment, community partners and local food vendors. The theme for this month is “Performing Arts Showcase.” Celebrate the arts with performances and activities from Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, TBEY Arts Center, Pretty Girls Are Educated and more.

It’s the closing weekend of Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites, where beloved children’s books come alive. Step into the pages of seven stories as you journey through life-sized scenes designed to develop early literacy skills and open a lifelong love of reading.

Wildflowers on the Water Festival
Lakeshore State Park | 500 N. Harbor Dr. | Milwaukee
Saturday, Sept. 6 | 3-7 p.m.

Sincerely in Song will host the 3rd Annual Wildflowers on the Water at Lakeshore State Park. This event, in collaboration with Friends of Lakeshore State Park, aims to raise awareness of Milwaukee’s premier urban lakefront destination through live music, art, local vendors and activities.

Silver City Fest
National Avenue between 32nd & 35th streets
Saturday, Sept. 6 | Noon-5 p.m.

Commemorate VIA’s 30th anniversary with live music, local vendors, interactive art displays, a children’s area and delicious food as we honor the past and look toward the future. You’ll enjoy entertainment from bands like The Hungry Williams and De La Buena; a chance to check out locally made crafts; and a variety of food and drink from some of the Silver City Neighborhood’s many businesses.
