New Kids on the Block in 1989. I had older sisters, and we went as a family. First concert of my choosing — Nelson in 1991, which isn’t much of an improvement.

Hobbies:
Woodworking with an emphasis on using Urban Wood, Lego, coloring, hiking.

Favorite place to take a visitor in Milwaukee:
Barnacle Buds for Sunday brunch with live music from Jimmy T.

Favorite band/artist of all time:
Bob Schneider … the King of Austin, Texas.

What about you would surprise people:
I am a novice cosplayer and host the cosplay contest every year at the Midwest Gaming Classic. I am a proud nerd and at a moment's notice could deliver an hour-long lecture on the works of Joseph Campbell and the philosophy, mythology and theology of Star Wars. I'm basically a taller Patton Oswald.
