It looks like Beyonce has started a trend by releasing a suprise album. One of the world's biggest bands, U2, just dropped a new album without notice via their website. The album, Songs Of Innocence, was produced by Danger Mouse, Paul Epworth (Adele, LCD Soundsystem, Glass Animals), Ryan Tedder, Declan Gaffney and Flood. The album was recorded in Dublin, New York, and Los Angeles.

Today, the prestigious Mercury Prize announced the nominees for album of the year. Several of the nominees are currently Rhythm Lab Radio favorites and some of them were also featured in Rhythm Lab's Top 75 songs of the year (so far). Favorites include albums from Nick Mulvey, FKA twigs, Jungle, Young Fathers, and Damon Albarn. Tune into this week's Rhythm Lab Radio this Friday, where we will highlight the music of the nominees.
