The individual joining us for our latest DJ Takeover should be familiar to anyone connected to the Milwaukee music scene. Trapper Schoepp is an incredible musician in his own right, and on top of that he’s the youngest artist to have a co-writing credit with Bob Dylan, who’s unrecorded 1961 song “On Wisconsin” got finished by Trapper in 2018.

Recently, the Milwaukee folk rocker has (literally) grown his creative endeavors with “Schoepp Seeds” — an organic seed startup that collaborated with Radio Milwaukee to create a special edition “Radio Milwaukee Sunflower.” This Lemon Queen Sunflower (set to grow anywhere from nine to 12 feet tall) is yours when you give at any level to our Spring Membership Drive happening now through April 11.
If you like what you hear during the takeover, Trapper’s giving even more of his time to play his own music along with *aya live from Radio Milwaukee this Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. It’s a give-what-you-can show, and if you’ve already shown your support for us by becoming a member during the drive, you can pick up your new gear and seeds!
Trapper Schoepp is gearing up to release new album Osborne in 2025 via Blue Elan Records, the music video for lead single “Loaded” will show at Milwaukee Film Festival, and he also has an opening gig coming up in support of Three Dog Night at the Pabst Theater on May 8.
