While curating my weekly set, an email hit my inbox that made my day: “New music from Disclosure ft. Pa Salieu – King Steps.” Of course, I was all in! Disclosure, one of my favorite electronic duos, teaming up with British-Gambian star Pa Salieu, who just dropped his project, Afrikan Alien. Hell yes!
But the excitement didn’t stop there. When I asked the label if I could feature a full set from Disclosure, they approved — and I lost my sh!t (pro tip: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take). They sent over their live set from Kindred London, a super cool spot that’s equal parts record store, art hub and radio station. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
The set features the new single, along with fresh IDs I’d never heard before and U.K. garage remixes that peaked the senses. Add that to the hype from their track "Arachnids" last month, and it’s starting to feel like a bigger project could be brewing for 2025 (that’s just a guess, but fingers crossed).
Oh, and speaking of 2025, Disclosure’s already making waves. They scored their ninth Grammy nomination in the Best Dance/Electronic Recording category for their 2024 single "She’s Gone, Dance On." The competition? Justice, Kaytranada, Fred Again and more heavy hitters. It’s going to be a battle!
