An artist originally from Mexico who currently calls L.A. home, Andrea Bejar is moments away from releasing her debut album, which has been a long time in the making.
Having released EPs Love Again and Stained Glass in the past couple of years, Bejar’s focus is firmly on In Bloom. We jump into the inspiration behind the album, why many of these songs are written to and for her abuelita/grandmother, and the themes it touches on, including womanhood and divine femininity. Bejar also shares some info about her recent announcement that she’ll join Latin icon Juanes on tour, as well as some music recommendations.
