Watch out! The Sound Travels blog is back and looking for love.
Seriously though, Sound Travels is transforming a bit; we’re still holding down Sundays — from 6-8 p.m. on 88Nine and 9-10 p.m. on HYFIN. Two hours is a nice bit of clearance to really get off the ground, and being on HYFIN gives li’l old Marcus a good feeling.
What’s Sound Travels, the new among you may ask? It’s a connection to global music, as well as the stories of artists and eras both bygone and future-leaning. I really hope you tune in.
For the future, we’ll work the show side by side with this web accessory, which allows me to be even more exploratory (and choosy) about the artists and albums I think could do for the attention of longer exposition. In this first post, I got a mega playlist queued up (Spotify only for now). Now, it might be that all the songs don’t suit you, but I’ve been doing this for long enough to know, there’s gotta be some believers.
