Making changes to our spring membership drive resulted in a lot of positives, like fewer days departing from regular programming, awesome seasonal merch and fun theme days. We wanted one of those days to celebrate moms, but cutting back the schedule presented a dilemma because the drive no longer ran through Mother’s Day.
Fortunately, there was an easy solution: Let’s just celebrate mom twice.
So, for this final day of the spring membership drive, we’re giving an early nod to moms before their official day of recognition this Sunday. To do that, we asked a couple people from our Radio Milwaukee staff to ask their mom — or have their kid ask them — a simple music-related question. The answers got a little deep, a little historical and even a little controversial (some Muppet shade was thrown).
