Today is the last day to register to vote by mail or online in the Wisconsin's spring primary election on Tuesday, Feb. 15. Milwaukee residents can register to vote here.
After today, voters will still be able to register to vote at the municipal clerk's office or at the polls on election day. Voters registering on election day will need to bring proof of residence and will need to have lived at their current address for at least 28 days.
The spring primary election is a particularly noteworthy one for City of Milwaukee residents. Seven candidates are on the ballot to finish former mayor Tom Barrett's term as mayor: Bob Donovan, Marina Dimitrijevic, Ieshuh Griffin, Cavalier Johnson, Earnell Lucas, Michael Sampson and Lena Taylor. The top two vote-getters will advance to the general election on Tuesday, April 5.
