Brewers announce four chances to give back at a game this season

Brewers Community Foundation

All this week, the Milwaukee Brewers have highlighted the many new and improved things you can do at American Family Field this season. Today, the Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) announced a handful of opportunities to do some good, too.

At four different Drive for Charity events throughout the season, you’ll be able to support nonprofits in the Milwaukee area and across the state by bringing needed items to the stadium. It starts Thursday, April 20, with the only drive-thru event in the series. Between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., you can visit the Cooper parking lot near Helfaer Field and help Wisconsin Humane Society by bringing anything from its wish list, which you can find here.

If you can’t make it to the drive-thru but you’ll be at AmFam Field for the series against the Boston Red Sox, you bring those pet-friendly items with you. And if you can’t make either of those, you can always visit brewers.com/BCF and make a $10 donation. Regardless of which option you choose, everyone receives the same Willy Adames commemorative pin.

Here’s what else the BCF is asking fans to bring to the stadium this season as part of its Drive for Charity series and the pin they'll receive in return:

  • May 12-14, Brewers vs. Kansas City Royals — peanut butter; Rowdy Tellez commemorative pin
  • Aug. 25-27, Brewers vs. San Diego Padres — new socks; TBD commemorative pin
  • Sept. 29-Oct. 1, Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs — new winter hats, mittens and scarves; TBD commemorative pin

The 2023 Drive for Charity events are presented by the Brewers Community Foundation Leadership Council: American Family Insurance, Aurora Health Care, Baker Tilly, Delta Dental of Wisconsin, Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation, Johnson Controls, Lubar & Co., Molson Coors, Milwaukee Admirals, Northwestern Mutual, Potawatomi Hotel | Casino, Town Bank and We Energies Foundation.

This second bit of Brewers news isn't quite as charitable, but the team announced Thursday afternoon that they released a couple hundred tickets for Opening Day next Monday, April 3. They're available via the Brewers ticketing website and the team's ticket office, which you can reach at 414-902-4000.
