Think you have the best Milwaukee BBQ? Enter the Fondy Market's BBQ Cook-Off

Fondy Market BBQ Cook-Off

Do you think you can make the best BBQ in Milwaukee? On June 18, Fondy Farmers Market will host its 9th annual BBQ cook-off and they are looking for contestants.

Let's first get this straight.  There is a difference between grilling and barbecuing. Grilling is for food that is meant to be cooked fast and hot like brats and hot dogs. On the other hand, barbecuing is meant for food that is meant to be cooked slow on low temperatures like pork shoulders, brisket, and ribs.

There are two categories for the Fondy Farmers Market BBQ cook-off:  pork ribs and chicken. And you must you use wood, wood pellets or charcoal. Gas and electric grill are not permitted.  You can find the rules and the entry form for the BBQ cook-off here.
