Milwaukee woman starts body-positive clothing line for dancers

"According to a Yahoo Health Study, 94% of girls have been shamed because of how their bodies look. I was once a young dancer who struggled with self-image because my body was 'different' from my dance peers,"

Dancer, choreographer and teacher Jade Charon can tell you first-hand that being a non-sterotypical stick-thin dancer isn't always easy. Especially when it comes to buying leotards and outfits,

"Not all of our bodies are made like that.... me and my mom thought, 'why don't we create leotards for dancer that need more support and coverage?'"

And just like that, with the help of family, friends and hours of hard work, Jade is now adding the title "clothing designer" to her resume.

This Saturday, the Milwaukee-native launched her very first line of body-postive, flattering and affordable leotards: 30:11 by Jade Charon.Jade Charon 30:11
